Winona Ryder earned international fame in the early ’90s with such films as Edward Scissorhands and Mermaids, for which she received her first Golden Globe nomination. The pinnacle of success came with Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992) and The Age of Innocence (1993), which awards the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and received her first Oscar nomination and BAFTA Award . For her performance as Jo March in the remake of Little Women (1994) she received her second Oscar nomination, the first for Best Actress.

Winona Ryder has also participated in several successful films, starring in Heathers (1989), Reality Bites (1994), The Crucible (1996) and Girl, Interrupted (1999), and minor roles in Beetlejuice (1988), The house of the spirits (1993), Alien Resurrection (1997), Celebrity (1998), Star Trek (2009) and The black swan (2010). In 2000 she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2016, back to success interpreting Joyce Byers in acclaimed television series Stranger Things.
