Rosa Bianca Salazar was born July 16, 1985 in British Columbia, Canada, and today resides in Los Angeles.
Salazar was born in Canada and grew up in Greenbelt, Maryland. She entered the world of entertainment at the age of 15. After moving first to New York and later to Los Angeles, to devote herself to acting, in 2011 she appeared for the first time on television in the series Law & Order: LA and in American Horror Story, later she got the role of Zoe DeHaven in Parenthood from 2011 to 2012.
As for the cinema, she took part in the film Jamesy Boy in 2014. The following year she played the role of Lynn in The Divergent Series: Insurgent, sequel to Divergent starring Shailene Woodley. Also in 2015 she played the character of Brenda in another sci-fi, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, second chapter in the saga of James Dashner starring Dylan O’Brien.
After appearing as a guest star in various television series and web series, in 2016 she played a recurring role in the second season of the Man Seeking Woman series.
In 2018 she will play the main role in the new Robert Rodriguez‘s movie, Alita: Battle Angel, produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau.
Rosa Salazar will be a cyborg heroine with big eyes, a character based on the original manga from which this story is drawn.

James Cameron has stated that he intends to adapt “the spine story” of Yukito Kishiro‘s original manga, with a specific focus on the first four books. He especially wants to include the fictional sport “Motorball” from the third and fourth volume.
