Monica Cruz is more beautiful than her sister, Penélope Cruz? Well, who knows! They are so similar that a preference can be dictated only by the interpretations we (as spectators) are fond of. The younger of the two in Spain is a star, but outside the national borders less. We especially remember it as the protagonist of the series Paso adelante: the one where males and females of the dance school showered in the same bathrooms!
On March 14, Mónica Cruz turned 42.
At the end of 2012, at the age of 35 and without a partner by her side, she became pregnant using artificial insemination. She also opened a blog in the Spanish newspaper El País where she told each step of the realization of her mother’s desire, called El sueño de mi vida (The dream of my life). On May 14, 2013 she became the mother of a child, Antonella, born at the International Ruber Clinic in Madrid.
5′ 3″ (1,6 m)
She starred in La niña de tus ojos (1998), Liolà (2007), Caminando (2007), Astérix aux jeux olympiques (2008), All inclusive (2008), Last hour (2008), Jerry Cotton (2010), 9 meses (2010), Iron Cross (2011).
She had a role in The Final Inquiry (2006) as Tabitha. In 35 A.D., a Roman tribune is sent to Palestine to investigate the death and possible resurrection of a certain Jesus from Nasareth.
Penelope Cruz was born on April 28, 1974 in Alcobendas, and was nominated three times for Academy Awards: Best Actress in Volver, and as best supporting actress for Nine and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, winning it for the last film mentioned. More infos here.
