Mary-Kate Olsen (Sherman Oaks, June 13, 1986) and Ashley Fuller Olsen (Sherman Oaks, June 13, 1986) are two actresses, designers and twin US entrepreneurs. They have appeared in television and film since childhood. Since then they have gained a certain reputation abroad, through numerous television programs, films, interviews and advertisements in which always appear together.

The Olsen twins make their debut as actresses just girls sharing the role of Michelle Tanner in the US television series Full House. At the age of six years, Mary-Kate and Ashley begin appeared together on television, in films and DVD productions financed by their own personal entertainment company, Dualstar, which has produced as well as film and television productions, including gadgets, video games, music collections and fashion lines all on behalf of the twins. Thanks to it, with the boast of more than 3,000 points of sale only in the United States and 5,300 worldwide, the Olsen twins are classified as young richest women in the entire entertainment industry. Since 2005, if not some occasional appearances of only Mary-Kate, the twin cease their careers as actresses and is actively dedicated to the fashion world. They are the designers of several high fashion lines as successful as The Row, so in 2013 they won the award for best designers of female leaders at Council of Fashion Designers of America, better known as the CFDA, Elizabeth & James and two others of products more accessible to younger buyers, Olsenboye and StyleMint.
