Tom Ellis

Tom Ellis, son of Marilyn Jean and Christopher John Ellis, was born in Cardiff, Wales. He attended High Storrs School, in Sheffield, and played the French horn in the “City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra.” In 2005, ex-girlfriend Estelle Morgan brings her first child into the world. Ellis was later married, from 2004 to 2014, with the actress Tamzin Outhwaite from whom he had two daughters; Florence Elsie Ellis and Marnie Mae Ellis. In 2013 the couple announced the separation. Ellis currently lives between Los Angeles and Vancouver, due to Lucifer’s work and filming; and is officially engaged to the actress and TV producer Meaghan Oppenheimer.

He achieved notoriety for starring in the role of King Cenred in the television series Merlin in 2010.

From 2009 to 2010, he played the role of Gary Preston in the British comedy genre television series Miranda.

In 2014 he played the role of the doctor William Rush, the protagonist of the television series Rush.

From 2016 he is the protagonist of Lucifer, a television series based on the comic of the same name by the publisher Vertigo / DC Comics in which he plays the angel Lucifer, known as Lucifer Morningstar.
