Lara Alvarez was the fiancée of Formula One driver Fernando Alonso until March 2016. Alonso knew her at the end of the relationship with Raquel del Rosario. He was later seen together with the beautiful model of Marvin Models Viki Odintcova.
Lara Alvarez studied in the school of the Inmaculada of Gijón and she graduated in journalism in the University Center Villanueva. One of her professors at the University Center was Nieves Herrero, who gave her first opportunity at age 19 as a collaborator of Telemadrid’s Hoy por ti program.
She was part of a group of fictional Spanish music, born as a result of an advertising campaign of Tiempo BBDO for MTV Spain, Los Happiness. Later she was presenter of the program Ahorro y finanzas of TeleAsturias and already in 2010 was reporter of the program Animax Comandos, of the channel Animax.
Also in 2010, together with Enrique Marqués and Juan Antonio Villanueva, she is in the team of the program Marca gol, brand of Marca TV, and in the current sports program Tiramillas, from the same chain. On December 21 of that same year, she joined the team of La Sexta Deportes, where she worked as a presenter and reporter.
On July 11, 2011, her signing for Cuatro was made public, where she was responsible for the sports information of the program of reportages Qué quieres que te diga, an adaptation of Spain Directo that ended with a failure of hearing and was withdrawn to the few Weeks of its premiere. From September of the same year until February of 2012 presented the nocturnal edition of Sports Four, program that she left to join the new programs dedicated to MotoGP.
On February 26, 2013, Mediaset España announced that Lara Alvarez and Marco Rocha would introduce the MotoGP races of the following season. On August 22 of the same year, she signed for La Sexta to co-host the second season of Jugones. Sports information, until March 4, 2014, announced that she was leaving the program to undertake new projects. At the end of the same month, she began as a collaborator of the program En el aire in the same chain.
At the end of August 2014, her incorporation as a co-presenter to the morning program Espejo público, by Antena 3.9, was announced. On September 23 of the same year, she was announced to join the radio show “80 y la madre” on M80 Radio, 10 and in December she was announced her return to the group Mediaset España. A month later, in January of 2015, she was added to the program Todo va bien as substitute of the singer Edurne, 12 and 11 of March was confirmed as a presenter to the Supervivientes program at Telecinco.
As a follow-up to this program, in June she was announced to join Telecinco’s program Pasaporte a la isla but in the end the chain decided to give her a rest and was replaced by Laura Lobo.
From September 2015 Lara Alvarez co-presented “Límite 48 horas” of Big Brother from the interior of the house of Guadalix de la Sierra. At the beginning of 2016 it was announced that she would repeat as a presenter of Supervivientes and in September of the same year she returned as co-presenter of Límite 48 horas of Big Brother 17.
In March 2017, she joined the Dani and Flo program presented by Florentino Fernández and Dani Martinez on Cuatro.
