Lady Gaga, the many faces of a great artist

Lady Gaga, stage name of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is inspired by her stage name to the Queen song Radio Ga Ga. Known for extravagant and eccentric ways, the artist is signed to Interscope Records and debuted in 2008 with the album The Fame, with some of worldwide successes as Just Dance and Poker Face, and which was followed by the EP The Fame Monster, which was released the following year. In 2011 she released his second solo album Born This Way, followed two years later by Artpop and 2014 by Cheek to Cheek, the latter published in collaboration with Tony Bennett. In total, it sold 27 million albums worldwide and over 125 million singles from 2008 to 2014. In 2014, her single Bad Romance was certified ten times platinum by the RIAA and has received the “Digital Diamond Award “for more than 10 million copies sold digitally, making Lady Gaga the first female artist in history to receive this recognition. On November 30, 2015, the RIAA announced that Poker Face has achieved such recognition.

In January 2016 she won the Golden Globe for best actress in a television series or TV movie for her role in the anthology series American Horror Story: Hotel. In the same month she also received her first nomination for an Academy Award in 2016 in the best section song for Til It Happens to You, present in the documentary The Hunting Ground.

Recently it was announced that Lady Gaga would be performed both at the Oscars and at the Grammy Awards with a tribute to David Bowie, as well as taking part in the 2016 Super Bowl singing the anthem national US. Her performance at the opening event of the latter was found to be the most watched moment of the entire event with a total of 110.19 million spectators, as well as the national anthem ever seen in history the Super Bowl. Lady Gaga is the first artist in history to sing the above three events in the same month of the same year.
