Paramount announced today that Kelly Rohrbach will play CJ Parker in the film adaptation of Baywatch directed by Seth Gordon, starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario. The iconic role of C.J. Parker in the series had been entrusted to Pamela Anderson. Kelly Rohrbach has mainly done modeling work but recently , after participating in small independent films, landed a role in the upcoming Wooy Allen movie.
Written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, Baywatch will cut from comedy and will be shot in the coming months. To produce the film The Rock, Dany Garcia, Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonnan.
Kelly Rohrbach attended Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, Connecticut. She played golf for Greenwich and earned an athletic scholarship to Georgetown University to play golf for the Georgetown Hoyas. She graduated from Georgetown in 2012 with a degree in theatre, and enrolled at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art to pursue acting. She received small roles in Two and a Half Men, The New Normal, Rizzoli & Isles, and Rush, and, after working in Hollywood for two years, began modeling. She appeared in Gap Inc.’s 2014 holiday marketing campaign and for Old Navy denim in 2015. She appeared in the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and was named their “rookie of the year”. According to rumors, she would be closer to marry Leonardo DiCaprio, but the two seem to have left in this holidays.
