Jeanine Mason, the new entry for the fourteenth season of Grey’s Anatomy, was hired by The CW network to play the lead role in Roswell’s reboot.
The actress plays the role of Liz Ortecho, a biomedical engineer, as well as the daughter of a couple of irregular immigrants, who returns to Roswell, in New Mexico, from her family.
In her hometown, the young woman will discover that her former teenage flame is actually an alien that possesses supernatural qualities. In the original series, the role was given to Shiri Appleby.
Mason had a recurring role on ABC’s hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Sam Bello.
