Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is a beautiful super model from South Africa. She was crowned Miss Universe 2017. She previously was crowned Miss South Africa 2017, and is the second Miss Universe winner from South Africa.
Now the young South African model has become one of the most requested top models in the world.
The new queen of lingerie collects the legacy from two other wonderful colleagues Emily Ratajkowski and Alexis Ren, in recent seasons that have become stars of the catwalk and also of the social media.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters received a degree in business management and in July 2017 she was elected Miss South Africa. On November 26 of the same year, she won the Miss Universe contest held in Las Vegas, surpassing the finalists Laura Gonzales, from Colombia and Davina Bennett from Jamaica.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was born born 28 June 1995 in Sedgefield, Western Cape, to Bennie Peters and Anne-Marie Steenkamp. She is of Cape Coloured origin. Her half-sister, Franje, has a physical disability, and Nel-Peters says that she is the most significant motivator in her life.
She received a bachelor’s degree in business management from North-West University and is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
Nel-Peters said during a segment at Miss Universe that she wants to use her self-defence workshops to help as many women as she can. This stems from an incident a month after she was crowned Miss South Africa, when she was carjacked at Hyde Park.
