Christina Rene Hendricks (Knoxville, May 3, 1975) is an American actress, known mainly for her role as Joan Holloway in the series Mad Men. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, May 3, 1975 by Robert Hendricks, a forest native English guard of Birmingham, and Jackie Sue Raymond, an American psychologist. On 11 October 2009 she married his colleague Geoffrey Arend.
