Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi, known as Carla Bruni, a name she continues to use for her artistic career, or Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, who uses her marriage to Nicolas Sarkozy (Turin, December 23, 1967), is a former model, songwriter, actress, already premiere dame of France, French naturalized Italian.
She is the third wife of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who had a daughter Julia on October 19, 2011. According to Forbes magazine, she was ranked 35th in the list of the most powerful women in the world in 2010.
She has been living in France since the age of seven, and has been working as a model career between 1987 and 1997 and then converted to music as a songwriter. She has written several pieces of the album Si j’étais elle by Julien Clerc in 2000, and has released her first album, Quelqu’un m’a dit in 2002. She won two years later, Victoire de la musique as the female music artist of the year. In 2007, released her second album, No Promises, then Comme si de rien n’était in 2008 and Little French Songs in 2013.
Committed to social, in 2009 she created the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation to promote access to culture and knowledge at all.
