Carey Mulligan is a British actress who was born in London, 28 May 1985. She made her big screen debut as Kitty Bennet in the 2005 film adaptation Pride and Prejudice. In 2008, she made her Broadway debut in the revival of Anton Cechov’s The Seagull. For her performance in An Education (2009) she won the BAFTA for Best Actress and received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress, a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama and a SAG Award for Best Film Actress .

She later played the role of co-star in films such as Never Let Me Go (2010), Drive (2011), Shame (2011), About Davis (2013), The Great Gatsby (2013), Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) , Suffragette (2015) and Mudbound (2017)
