Ashika Pratt is a model from New Zealand who moved in India. She is best known for her appearance in the 2010 Kingfisher Calendar and for her cover of the Indian Vogue of April 2010.
This New Zealand born-and-raised beauty is part-girl-next-door and part-temptress. As far as we’re concerned that’s a winning combination on any continent.
At age 15, she was discovered by an agent and participated in the Miss and Mr. Howick contests being second. After competing in the contest she decided that it was not her thing and signed with Nova Models. Her first job was for a Glassons television commercial, a New Zealand clothing line. That same year Pratt debuted on the catwalk. With Nova Models, she made covers of Yourself and Her Magazine. She also announced a collaboration with the Mitsubishi brand.
She has appeared in Vogue India and Femina India and has appeared in editorials for Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vogue, and Femina. Pratt was chosen for the 2010 Kingfisher calendar. In addition, she has participated in the Lakme Fashion Week.
In 2010, she was named by Elle as the sexiest women. In addition, Pratt was named on the Vogue list, “Fashion Power” 2010.
In 2011, Pratt figured on the cover of Vogue India in April.
She was born on 26 April 1990 in New Zealand. Her zodiac sign is Taurus.
She said that her parents pushed her to finish high school, which she didn’t agree with at the time but she is definitely thankful for now. She graduated from High School at 18 and moved to India for a year to model full-time. Her career completely jump-started when she decided to pursue all of her time and energy on modeling and she has been fortunate enough to work with some amazing designers and photographers ever since.
