Arna Yr Jonsdottir is the miss who left the contest because ‘too fat’

Miss Iceland, Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir, quitted the Miss Grand International event in Las Vegas because they said her “to lose weight for the finals” and that she had “too much fat” on her. Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir posted her handwritten “goodbye letter” on Instagram, explaining her reasons for dropping out of the international beauty contest.

“I am a very strong woman, but sometimes my strength isn’t enough,” Jónsdóttir wrote. “Your staff told me that I had to loose weight for the finals because I have too much fat on me and also to big shoulders. They told me to eat less and then you would like me more.”

“In my country my body shape is perfect. And that’s what I’m gonna remember. No one will ever tell me anything else.”

Arna won the national beauty contest in Iceland in 2015 and after that she was invited at the Las Vegas contest. Arna has also added to have broader shoulders of the other competitors for doing something athletic, reaching the Icelandic national team. And here is our interest. She is a specialist of pole vault with a PB of 3.50 outdoor that she did 19 years in Tbilisi and 3.30 indoors in the same year. But that’s the charm of a country like Iceland: it is so small that it can happen that an athlete of pole vault is also the most beautiful woman in the country.

You can see for yourself if the staff of the competition is right and Arna is actually fat, or whether, as seems to us, her body is sexy by seeing our gallery below and following Arna on Instagram.
