Teri Hatcher, Lois & Clark and Desperate Housewives

Teri Hatcher is the only daughter of Esther Beshur and Owen W. Hatcher. To the general public is best known for playing Lois Lane in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and Susan Mayer in Desperate Housewives. She also participated in several television series and films including Seinfeld, MacGyver, Quantum Leap, Tango & Cash and was Bond girl in the movie Tomorrow Never Dies.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’s writers were based on the character of Superman reformed according to the ideas of John Byrne, where he is more human in terms not so much of the superpowers but also emotional.

In this version is the superhero the secret identity, while the true identity is Clark Kent. As the title suggests, the attention is more focused on the relationship between Lois Lane and Clark, rather than the heroic deeds of the character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The Clark himself explains well the concept behind this series addressing Lois (the episode of the second season A jump in the past) with these words: “Superman is what I can do. Clark is who I am…”

In 1988 she married actor Markus Leithold, from which, however, she divorced the following year. In 1994s he weds to actor Jon Tenney, with whom she had daughter Emerson Rose in 1997; their marriage ended in March 2003.

She confessed that at the age of seven years has been sexually abused by her uncle, Richard Hayes Stone, then jailed for also abused another child; the man died in 2008. She sings and plays the tambourine in the Band from TV, alongside Hugh Laurie (piano) and James Denton (guitar), the latter her colleague in Desperate Housewives.
