Riley Keough was born in Los Angeles, and is the daughter of singer Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough and granddaughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She has a brother, Benjamin Keough, and two half-sisters, the twins Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood, born from fourth marriage of the mother with guitarist Michael Lockwood.
She has had a relationship with actor Alex Pettyfer, met during the filming of Magic Mike. In 2012, during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road, knows the stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen; after 6 months of official engagement, the two are married on February 4, 2015 in Napa, California.
She began her career as a young model at the age of twelve taking part in a Tommy Hilfiger ad campaign. At fourteen she made her debut on the catwalk, parading for the autumn / winter collection of Dolce & Gabbana. In the same year she appears on the cover of Vogue, alongside her mother and her grandmother Priscilla, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. In 2005 she worked for Christian Dior, parading for the spring / summer collection and becoming testimonial of Miss Dior Chérie fragrance.
She debuted as an actress in 2010 in the film The Runaways by Floria Sigismondi, biopic on the homonymous rock group of the seventies, where Keough plays Marie Currie, sister of Cherie Currie. In 2011 she starred opposite Orlando Bloom in the thriller The Good Doctor. In 2013 participated as a protagonist in the song video TKO of Justin Timberlake. In 2014 she starred in the advertising campaign Miu Miu Women’s Tales No.7. She was nominated for the award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for the Golden Globes 2016 thanks to the TV series The Girlfriend Experience.
