Olivia Cooke started acting at home from the age of 8, first with small school parts, then as a teenager in many advertisements and in a video of One Direction, until she arrived at a couple of BBC miniseries; the fame, however, comes with her first US role, in the role of Emma Decody in the television series Bates Motel (2013).
In her short career she has mainly played thriller and horror films, starting with the first major role, in the miniseries The Secret of Crickley Hall where Cooke played teacher Nancy Linnet.
In 2014, three films of the same vein have Cooke as protagonist and co-star: The Quiet Ones, The Signal shown at the Sundance Film Festival and Ouija.
In the film Me & Earl & the Dying Girl directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon the Cooke plays the role of the female protagonist, Rachel.
Since 2015 she has been engaged to actor Christopher Abbott.
She was born 27 December 1993 in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England.
In Ready Player One Olivia Cooke plays Samantha “Sam” Cook / Art3mis.
