British model Lily Jean Harvey has taken it one step further by landing the leading role in the brand Topshop‘s spring/summer 2017 campaign. She is following the footsteps of the most famous supermodel as Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne.
Lily is building up a strong portfolio that ranges from catwalk appearances (Topshop’s autumn/winter 2016 show was her first) to lookbook shoots for the likes of Shrimps. She is a 17-year-old student from a small town in the English countryside and she is considered the heir of the models we have just mentioned because she is the new face of Topshop. “The first thing I owned from Topshop was a dress when I was about 11. I was really short so it had to be from the Petite range. It was red, white and blue striped, just a jersey dress. I loved it so much”, she said in this interview.
Lily was born in London but she left the city when she was 7 and today she loves define herself as a “country girl at heart” because she lives in the countryside. When was young she was always been interested in fashion but never thought she’d be in front of the camera. At that time she wanted to paint or write. “When I wake up and haven’t dreamt I feel like I’ve wasted the night, I also really love interpreting and decoding my dreams” she said in an interview. And again: “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his [or her] point of view … until you climb inside of his [or her] skin and walk around in it.”
