Born and raised in Inverness, Scotland, her parents, John Raymond and Marie Paterson, live in Kinmylies. At a young age she begins to love acting, joining several local theater groups and taking part in numerous productions at her Charleston Academy. At sixteen she decides to follow her interest in acting, studying at Edinburgh’s Telford College. She later gained a place at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. At eighteen she moved to London to study at a theater school.

She appears in Channel 4 Stacked as Ginny and as the protagonist in the horror project The Well, broadcasted as a series of episodes on BBC Two.
