Emma Watson, the former Hermione of Harry Potter, now grown and protagonist of the film Beauty and the Beast, was “discovered” for the first time on Vanity Fair and the thing did not like the most. Watson appears in a shot by Tim Walker covered only by a half-open shawl that reveals her breasts. Twitter has thus triggered the controversy because in many partial topless would be contrary to feminist politics which the actress has always been at the forefront. Many have called it “hypocritical” although many fans have lined up in her defense.
Emma replied in this way: “Feminism is about giving women choice,” she said in a BBC News interview to promote her upcoming film, Beauty and the Beast. “It’s about equality,” she stressed. “It’s not … I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing.”
Emma Watson achieved international fame after playing the character of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, from 2001 to 2011. In 2013 for her portrayal of Sam in The Perks of Being a Wallflower won the award for best actress to the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards and a People’s Choice Award for best Actress in a Drama. In the same year she was awarded at the MTV Movie Awards with the MTV Trailblazer Award, given to “an actor of youth who managed to inspire others with a diversified portfolio of work and a transcendent reputation in the public eye.” Also in 2013, starring in The Bling Ring, a movie in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in Un Certain Regard. In 2015 she plays Angela Gray in Regression, a thriller directed by Oscar-winning director Alejandro Amenábar. Other hot pics of Emma Watson are here.
