Elissa is very famous in the Arab world. She was born in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon, October 27, 1971 and in her career has won many prizes and awards, including three World Music Awards.
Elissa has sold over 30 million albums and was the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist for 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2010. Since 2013, Elissa has also been a judge on the television show MBC The X Factor.
Her true name is Elissar Zakaria Khoury, but she is mainly known as Elissa.
