Camila Giorgi is an Italian tennis player who was born on 1991. In the Grand Slam tournaments she reached the final eighths at Wimbledon 2012 and the US Open 2013, starting from the qualifications in both tournaments. She is the only tennis player to date having achieved two-eighth finals in Grand Slam tournaments after passing through the cadet board. She has moved to the 30th position in the world rankings in July 2015.
In her career he won a WTA tournament in Hertogenbosch and won wins against top players such as Maria Sharapova, Viktoryja Azaranka and Caroline Wozniacki (all number one in the world), US Open 2015 winner Flavia Pennetta and the Australian Open finalist 2014 Dominika Cibulková.
Camila Giorgi is one of the most offensive players in the circuit. She tends to respond to the services of opponents near the bottom line or, on certain occasions, even within the camp. She can strike violently the ball both straight and backward and does not take many variations in her game. Her first service is very fast, as well as the second. The strategy of hitting the second of the service with the same power as the first increases the risk of making double fouls: Camila Giorgi is in fact the worst tennis player at the service of the WTA circuit in 2015 (339 double defeats in 33 matches).
