Barbara Palvin was born in Budapest, Hungary, on October 8, 1993. She has an older sister named Anita.
She attended the elementary school Erkel Ferenc and the Szinyei Merse school in Budapest. Since she was a child she has always defined herself as a “tomboy“, in fact she started practicing soccer and singing, considered by herself her favorite pastimes.
Barbara was “discovered” by IMG Models when she was only 13 years old, in 2006, while walking through the streets of Budapest.
She shot her first editorial for Spur Magazine in Japan and then moved to Asia where she continued to pose for several photo shoots. In a few years she has been able to make her way into the universe of fashion, appearing in several magazines in the sector and for different nations.
In Argentina, in France for L’Officiel in February 2010, for Jalouse in April of the same year, for French Revue de Mode in the spring / summer 2011 edition and for Elle on September 16, 2011 and April 2012.
While for Korea in the issue of Harper’s Bazaar on April 2011. In Lebanon for Elle Oriental in November 2011, for Russia L ‘Officiel in March 2010 and in the Vogue of December of the same year. In Spain for the Rabat magazine in January 2012.
Her debut on the catwalk took place with Prada, during the fashion week in February 2010.

In 2011 she opened the Pre-Fall 2011/2012 campaign by Chanel and later with Cara Delevingne and Simon Nessman posing for the collection H & M Authentic Collection F / W 2011.
Conquest notoriety in 2012, parading for the TV show Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, organized by the intimate Victoria’s Secret line, alongside topmodel such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima.
She takes part in the Victoria’s Secret PINK 2012 project and at the Victoria’s Secret Designer Collection posing for a solo shoot.
In February of the same year she was chosen as a testimonial for L’Oréal, becoming the youngest ambassador at 19,for whom she shoots several commercials representing Rouge Caresse lipstick and Miss Candy make-up collection. In 2013 she was reconfirmed and again lends her face to various TV products and commercials, such as the Manga mascara and Infaillible 24h-Mat, further increasing her reputation.

In 2014 she is cast in the film Hercules, where she plays the Greek princess Antimaca alongside Dwayne Johnson and Irina Shayk.
