Aubrey Plaza is April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation

Aubrey Plaza is popular for her role as April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. She is the daughter of Bernadette, a prosecutor of Anglo-Irish descent, and David Plaza, a Puerto Rican financial advisor. She has two younger sisters, Renee and Natalie – which was inspired by the character of April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Aubrey has this name for the Bread’s song of the 1972.

She had a stroke at the age of twenty, who has, however, passed without consequences. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2002, and in 2006 she graduated in film and television at the Tish School of the Arts at New York University.

The first experiences of Aubrey Plaza with acting dates back to 2004, when she began acting skits and improvisations at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. More recently she has also starred in the Laugh Factory and The Improv.  In 2008 she attended the Practical Jokes Mobile Desktop collective Improv Everywhere, during which, along with two other persons, enters a Starbucks Cafe with an older computer with monitor, keyboard and mouse and use it like a laptop.

In 2004 the Parks and Recreation’s star was involved in the CelebGate, when some hackers stolen private pictures of stars. A censored photo of “Parks And Recreation” star Aubrey Plaza naked while masturbating in the bathroom was taken online. Other stars involved were Kaley Cuoco and Jennifer Lawrence.

Aubrey Plaza has participated in the web series The Jeannie Tate Show and Meyne Street. She also appeared in the first episode of Terrible Decisions with Ben Schwartz in Funny or Die. She starred as Daisy in the film Funny People (2009) directed by Judd Apatow, as Julie Powers in Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and as Kelly Peters comedy Derrick Comedy’s Mystery Team, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

After some brief holdings opposite Jason Bateman and Will Arnett for the web site CollegeHoumor, is hired as the lead in web series Troopers, always by CollegeHoumor. Since 2009 she plays the role as April Ludgate, the impassive intern of Parks and Recreation,  character that has given the popularity. Between 2010 and 2012 she also appeared in the series Portlandia.
