Annette Bening will win the Oscar for 20th Century Women?

Annette Bening‘s professional career of Bening begins in 1988 in the comedy The Great Outdoors, getting acclaim for her role in the drama The Grifters (1990), for which she received a nomination for the Oscar for best Supporting actress, in the biopic Bugsy (1991) and in the romantic comedy The American President (1996).

She has received praise for her performance in the award-winning film American Beauty (1999), for which she won the BAFTA to the best actress and the SAG Award for best film actress. For American Beauty receives her second nomination to the Oscar Award for best actress. Later she won two Golden Globe for the best actress in a section Musical or Comedy respectively Being Julia (2004) and The Kids Are All Right (2010), for which she received her third and fourth nomination Oscar.

She could win an Oscar this year with the film 20th Century Women by Mike Mills with Annette Bening and Elle Fanning. This is the story of three women who explore love and freedom in Southern California during the late 1970s. In a Santa Barbara at a time of great change, the single mother Dorothea Fields seeks to grow in the best way the teenage son Jamie, educating love and freedom. The woman asks the help of two young women, the artist Abbie and the nearby rebel Julie.

The film was premiered at the New York Film Festival in October 2016. It was subsequently presented at the Mill Valley Film Festival and AFI Fest. Will be released in US theaters in limited form on 25 December 2016.
